Lightbulb Shapes & Bases
Incandescent Lightbulb Models
Note: All bulb models may not be available in all countries. In many countries, general service incandescent bulbs are banned or about to be phased out.
Small, special and decorative lamps, e.g. carbon filament, crown, tubular, pygmy, oven, coloured and Rough Service bulbs are often exempt from bans.
Halogen Lightbulb Models
These are some of the most common models. More variations of mini reflector lamps may exist.
(All halogen bulbs will be banned from 2016 or 2018 in the EU, except mini tubes and G9 mini capsule. Only "Energy Class B" halogen lamps will be permitted, but they are already taken out of production.)

Conversion Kit Bulb Models
Conversion kits are a build-your-own-lightbulb system where you choose the base type + inner lamp type + outer bulb shape and colour you want, and then only replace the inner bulb when it burns out.
The inner lamp is a capsule mini bulb with a G9 base, either tungsten halogen or LED.
• Halogen gives the best light quality and brightness, and will look most similar to incandescent lamps as it is the same type of light.
• The LED G9 model lamps available are still too low lumen and not well suited for such systems.
